Michael A. Alves

Michael Alves is the Commercial Director and Broker for the Commercial Division of HomeSmart Professionals Real Estate and leads the team at Elite Commercial Realty Group. With more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, Michael is recognized for his leadership, market knowledge, and commitment to mentoring commercial real estate professionals. Michael began his real estate career in 1986 with Yorktown Associates and transitioned into commercial brokerage in 1990. From 2002 to 2008, he served as the creator and Regional Director for the Rhode Island and New England commercial division of Coldwell Banker Commercial, helping expand the firm’s commercial platform across the region. In 2008, Michael became Broker/Owner of Elite Commercial Realty, where he continues to lead commercial brokerage services and investment advisory. Michael has been actively involved in leadership within the Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors and the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. His roles include Member of the RI Commercial Appraisal Board Board of Directors (2008–Present), State Director (2008–2009), President of RICABOR (2009), and RICABOR Realtor of the Year (2010). He also served as Executive Director of RIAR (2010), RPAC Board Member (2010–2012), RICABOR and RIAR Board of Directors (2011–2012), and Chairman of the CIE Committee (2012). From 2014 through February 19, 2025, Michael served as Regional/National Commercial Director and Broker/Co-Owner for KW Commercial. On February 20, 2025, Michael became Commercial Director and Broker for the Commercial Division of HomeSmart Professionals Real Estate and a team leader of Elite Commercial Realty Group. He continues to focus on investment sales, commercial leasing, and development opportunities while mentoring agents and expanding the commercial platform.
