Don Ritchie
My Real Estate career started because of my wife. She is a Real Estate Settlement Officer, and while attending real estate functions with her, I soon developed a network of friends across the real estate business. I was fascinated by the complexities and nuances of buying and selling homes, so I decided to try it out myself. When I first started in the business, my goal was to make some extra money, but then it naturally transitioned into a career for me. The relationships with colleagues and clients are the most rewarding part of my job. I’ve developed friendships with a wide array of people who I would have never met outside of the real estate business. I also love how the real estate industry has allowed me to grow professionally, and has given me a constant educational experience over the past 18 years. My team has been awarded “ The Chairman’s Gold Circle Award”, 4 years in a row, which awards the top 2% of producing agents and teams nationwide and “The President’s Circle Award” the previous 3 years, Top 5% in BHHS network nationwide. As a REALTOR®, you are expected to have all the answers and always should, to represent your clients to the highest level possible. This is why I started “The Ritchie Group”. I wanted to create a team that can specialize to become a master of their individual areas in the real estate industry. My team leans on each other’s strengths and specialties to address a client’s needs. With my team, you truly receive the full range of expertise, and exceptional customer service. Outside of real estate, I enjoy a good round of golf and spending time with my seven grandkids. I am an avid motorcyclist; I grew up riding dirt bikes and motocross. I have made multiple trips to Canada and to many spots in the US with my wife and my dad since transitioning from the dirt to the road. I also serve as the tournament director for the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Sunshine Kids golf tournament that benefits the Sunshine Kids Foundation. The Sunshine Kids mission is to improve the quality of life for children with cancer. I’ve spent most of my life in this region – growing up in southeastern Pennsylvania, living in York County, PA and Harford County, MD, and working most of my adult life in Maryland. I love calling this area home – call me today so I can help you find your place here too!
